I Feel Violated And Need Advice Desperately!!!

Can someone advise me if this website is involved in anything I do not want to get involved in? Is there anyway I can get my photo out of it? If this a case of using one's properties without permission?

I don't know why am I on this website together with others who show cleavage and/or look sexy. I honestly do feel honoured when someone adds me to their blogroll or feature my blog on some well-known websites. BUT THIS?!?! Mange to spot me in this screenshot? I'm in the top row, 2nd from the right.

Please please help dish out advise... Feel free to email me if you do not want to leave your advise on my comment page...
Thanks in advance! Much appreciated...

Hi!

I was curious, so I go visit that website you spoke about. However I couldn't find out how to contact this person.

In my point of view, it's not a dynamic web, hence it's not a server-side coded website (at least it looks like one), and most likely is managed by someone.

Doesn't look like he's interested in the contents. He's more interested in getting the hits (due to the amount of advertising he placed in it... gosh!) and it does seem a little sick to be putting your face in it.

The only clue is his adsense ID, which doesn't serve any help in any way.

I hope you don't get dishearten by this incident. Anything up on the internet is "free" if you haven't noticed. But seriously, these kind of things have to stop.

Hi yusry,
Thanks for your comments. With some kind help and directions, I managed to find a masked email address and have already emailed the webmaster.

Following up on yusry's comments, I wanna add some comments too...
It is true that anything on the internet is "free", but that's my face and I'm concerned that my face is being used without my permission on an unknown webby.

I do not want my face to be involved or associated in something which I do not want to be involved or associated in. To "represent" Singapore on a website, I do feel proud as a Singaporean, BUT what IS the website about?!
Moreover, it's being put together with many other sexy photos.
If you were to scroll further down, a prominent male blogger's blog of Singapore was also linked, but the photo is of a girl!
On the main website, there are more photos of girls and I have no idea where the source is from.

If the webmaster can take my photo without my permission, which equates to theft, how about the photos of the other girls?

Sorry for more ranting, but this is a much calmer me being able to do some proper thinking now... :-)

Can't help you remove ur picture from the blog. But you can hit them where it's more painful.

McDonalds Singapore is advertising on that blog.

Why don't you write a nice letter to McDonalds PR or customer service to tell them that you feel disgusted that McDonalds is placing their ads on such website.

DK, is the McD's ad by adsense or by McD itself?

Thanks for another clue to get in touch with the webmaster of that website!

Sexiness is not just limited to the way one dresses, but also attributed to the smile. Maybe the webmaster thinks your smile is sexy?

Okay. Sorry. I know that's not what you want to hear.

I agree that your "intelectual property" is indeed being stolen. Even with all 'copyright act' info found in the Net, I can't recommend any advice.

What I can say is if you are making a big noise about it, what you end up doing is sending more traffic to that site & that is what ultimately the webmaster wants.

I doubt the webmaster would reply your email. He/she would prefer to prolong the issue. Maybe, like what yusry pointed about adsense ID and DK about McD ad, you may stand a better chance (of being replied, at least) if you're to feedback to these 2 organisations.

In fact in this Google AdSense page, there are options to report 'Violating URL' and in your case, it's about 'Copyrighted Content' ("This site is distributing my copyrighted material without my permission" and/or "This site is distributing someone else's copyrighted material, possibly without permission".)

For McD, you can call 6777 3777. Oh, wait. That's McDelivery hotline. Just go to this McD feedback page.

Good luck. =)
