IVP 2002 Game 1
We had the first game today for this season's IVP. Against NTU. Gals won, guys lost. Good game put up by the gals. We batted hard, made good hits, ran aggressive-ly n scored many runs in the 3rd inning. In the bottom 4th, NTU managed to catch up, but we still managed to hold them down and won by 2 runs. The guys were good during the top 1st inning, confident, running aggressive-ly...But as more runs came in during the bottom 1st, they started to make errors... In the end, we lost 24-10...
Enuice said this as she was leaving irc today : failure is part and parcel of life...it is through failure that we learn and strive for the better. come on ppl...never give up... softball is a team game. work together as a team and alwz encourage each other. i believe all of you can do it if u believe and have faith in yourself and the team.... Well said!!! Power!!!
After the game, we wnt back school, bathed, thn headed to al-ameen for dinner. I quickly ate n thn went to my grandma's (dad's side) birthday dinner... Thn went back to bukit timah to join the team for pool.
Sleeply now, but like unwilling to zzz.. hehe... Mayb cos thr are still pple online, so can chat a bit... hehe...

Softball Camp June Sem 2002 n bday celebration...
Had registered #mcss on galaxynet. Hope the application goes thru successfully.
The softball camp was on last Fri till Sun, but I left on Sat nite. Had training on Fri evening n stayed for a nite. Couldn't get to sleep, so me, Enuice, Ziwei, MC, Hong, Ah Gu, Pui Suan, Simon n Tart (I thk tt's all) gathered for Round One of Ghost Stories. We toked abt happenings in NP... At abt 3, we decided to get to zzz, so we stopped n went to toilet. Thn Tart saw someone on the track, turned out to be human after all... We went back to the room. Me, Ziwei, Hong, MC n Pui Suan gathered for Round Two... Army happenings this time round. At almost 5, we stopped to get some sleep. N tt was when we had a symphony orchestra (read: loud snoring) in NP. Eunice had woken up too, so had some other gals. As for me, I really cannot get to zzz already. Mayb I had fallen asleep, but not deep sleep... At abt 6.20, Tart, Sebas, Steward n Wee Kiang woke up. After a small discussion with them, we found out tt Pui Suan was the one snoring all nite long. Those 4 guys went to wash up, but as soon as they came back, it started to rain heavily. As scheduled, we were to have a morning jog n thn some light training.. But we cancelled n it was rest n relax time. Some went to the library to watch baseball tapes n movies, the rest of us played daidee, till Gopi came n stopped us, so we played "sha, fan sha" n "007"... Had lots of laughs.. Haha... All the way till 3.30, we started to make our way to the clubhse to get equipment to start training... Trained, makan dinner, got the gals to gather. Me, Ah Gu, Jan, Qi n Eunice begin to speak to the gals... Telling them abt stuff thy shld kn, like bat swinging, relaying, etc... Left abt 10+... Reached home, called Chris abt Sun, his mum's bday, celebrated 2 days late... Washed up at abt 11+, zzz at 12...
Mayb I was damn tired. My alarm clock started ringing at 8, but only managed to wake up at 10. Bought the book n the cake, reached his place ard 12+. His dad said I had lost weight... Hehe.. Went up to his room to take a nap aft his dad n him told me to cos I was still damn tired, was lying face down to the table to rest and was waiting for Louis, Hao n Seng to come so we can tok abt our "team". But thy came late, ard 5+, tt was when I just woke up... Started to prepare the things for the bbq at tt point of time. Cut cake, eat, toked till abt 11+ thn I took a cab home...
Now aso still damn tired.. But I wana watch the Liverpool match later n c how thy lose... Hehe... I shall go start reading Real Estate Riches, another book from the Rich Dad series...

Yong Qi
As I always liked Liang Jing Ru's songs, I chose to sing Yong Qi. MC was making fun of the song, jus like wht he did whn he first stepped in. But as I sang, I got more emotional, shutting away his teases. Mayb the song reminded me of us... Whn I finished the song, I dropped tears...
Little league's showing on ESPN now.. I'm typing tis now.. Mayb I shld go to bed...

Searching for my crew...
I like the anime One Piece. Watched a few episides before. It's abt a guy by the name of Roofy. He aspires to be Pirate King and I find the anime very very very inspirational. I'm watching the rest of the episodes now on SCV. Thank God for tt! Hehe... The lyrics for the theme song is aso very very very inspirational.
Robert Kiyosaki had said in his book, "It's ok if the boat leaves. But do u wana be left behind whn the other boat leaves the dock?" He was referring to pple who are building their assets n investments. Those who did so already left the dock. R u gog to be the next one who leaves?
I was toking to Chris abt it the other day, abt One Piece, abt telling him to search on Kazaa for the rest of the episodes cos I wana collect the whole series. Thn we came up wif something like "We are like Roofy. Looking for pple to join our crew. We have left the dock, on the ship, leaving others at the dock and r now drifting in the sea, looking for our crew. A crew wif similar goals n ideas."
Right now, while still learning n reading from Robert Kiyosaki's books, I'll have to look for my crew. A crew who fits the bill, has the right mind-set and has the same goals n ideas.
One Piece!

Weird dream...
Was in cobratrivia. Cash was singing, n we were suaning a bit here n there. Cl said I am attached, ask me to not say anythg. I typed "wht". Thn I noticed Cash, asking him wht i shld say, shld I say "I not attached liao lah" cos Cash kns abt tis already. He says he's an outsider, do wht I feel like. I typed in the mains "attached or nt, I like to say can or nt". Cash noticed me "nice one". I really dunno how to break the news to the rest. Mayb Chris n I have spoken to Cash, so telling him was easier. The rest kn Chris, he's part of the channel. Whn I was gog off, Cl ask "paced, you gog to bed alone or with *ahem*". I replied "with my teddy bears".
I started to cry... I went into my room n cried... This is the first time I've actually cried so hard after we finally broke up. Thn I recalled a weird dream I had ystday. In the dream, there's a guy, some how or rather, Chris' friend, was trying to kiss me. I pushed him away, saying "cannot, I still liked Chris." He replied something like "but he dun wan you". And I woke up. Y on earth did I have a dream like tt?
I've stopped crying now. Enuff of Rich Dad Poor Dad for the day. Have to go to bed coz have to wake up early n go to NP tmr for softball. Dunno if I'm able to fall asleep...

Birthdays Galore
So many pple's bday fall within these few days... Celebrated Joseph, Joshua n Shuan's bday on Sat at their chalet. Had dinner today at Raffles Marina to celebrate my dad's n cousin's bday.
Somehow, I feel tt my cousin had matured a lot within these 2-3 yrs. He had many gfs in the past, not say playing the field, but jus not the type who wld settle down n get married so earlier. He has a child now. It was a shotgun marriage last June. When I saw him today, I couldnt believe that he is 26. Any normal guy in S'pore of tt age who not think of getting married, much less have a child. I guess it was the child tt changed his thinking n he had to be responsible too. I think most couples who are nt married n had a child accidently wld wana abort the child cos thy wun wana be tied down by a child. I looked at how he showered his child with love n his wife with care. I was definately sure tt he is ready to settle down. What a huge change!
I have a webby to intro. It is http://www.jninfo.net.cn/flash/swf/m3398.swf. Take a look n c wht u can learn from thr. Sorry that it's in Chinese. But the animation shld explain the story. So everyone can take a look. I've learnt something from there. Cherish your loved ones. Once thy're gone, thy might b gone forever. Hold your loved ones tite now n tell thm "I Love You"! Hehe... Hope u'll gain something from this webby too! Oh yah, be patient. This webby takes kinda long to load...
Signing off...

Childhood Memories
After alighting, I walked to Tanjong Katong Complex, not much change. The major occupants of tt building like Shop n Save and 2nd Chance were still ard.
I thn crossed over to City Plaza. Major changes in shops there. Swensens was over taken by a small Muslim food court. There was a bubble tea stall. The stall selling tidbits had lesser variety, corn-on-the-cob no more, only corn-in-a-cup with Daisy margarine instead of Planta margarine. Oriental Emporium on the 4th floor is now Yun Nam Haircare. Most of the shops are wholesales n retailers of female clothes now. Compared to the large variety of shops in the past. Boys n Girls, where I bought clothes in the past was still ard. Sinma and a few jewellers are still ard. So is the money changer cum 4D, Toto stall. The open space opposite to tidbits stall is now converted to Mr Bean n A & W. Standard Chartered is still ard too!
After drawing money, I crossed over to Lion City Hotel, using the pedestrian crossing as usual. Although there's a bridge, I dun use it. Not because I'm lazy to climb up the steps, although the up-going escalator was still in operation years ago. It was because I once fell down thr... My mum's cousin, my aunt, was carrying me, say abt more thn 18 years ago. We were crossing the bridge over to the Mcdonalds for a ice cream treat at Lion CIty Hotel. I heard from my mum tt she had missed a step n fell down the stairs. Although nothing happened to us, I was dazed n didn't eat my ice-cream. Bad memories, so I dun use the bridge... Hehe...
Mcdonalds at Lion City Hotel seemed smaller in size and there was a KFC n Slimming Sactuary there. The cinema which always showed Bollywood films is now Giant Supermart. Oriental Emporium is now Bestway, Starhub and Old Chang Kee. 7-11 now occupys a space along tis stretch too.
I walked further down to Haig Road Food Centre. I walked one round before deciding to buy chicken rice from a very familiar stall. It has a big display area, hanging all the chickens, roast pork and char siew. Behind the display area, stands the "chopping man", who prepares the plates of rice and cutting up pieces of meat. Tis whole display area is flush to the left hand side of the stall, leaving a small entrance on the right. Thr's an auntie who would stand sideways at this small entrance of the stall and take down orders. She'll write the orders down on paper and hook thm on a hook placed on her right which is stuck on the display area's side panel. Now she no longers write as thy have printed pieces of paper and all she has to do is the circle thm. When I was younger, I remembered thr was once a long queue. Tis auntie was writing more n more orders till the hook was full. She had to placed the order slips on the writing area instead. As I watched the chopping man extract the order slip, I kept wondering if the slip he was holding was mine. Hehe...
Lunch was bought and I walked over to the bus stop to take a bus down to Chris place. I boarded the bus and as the bus turned at the junction near the MRT, I looked over to my left, staring at my grandma's ex-place. The corner shop carries bicycles instead of fruits, although the hampers are still ard, thy took over a medical shop tt was beside too. The drinks vending machine thy had in the past is gone. My grandma's ex-place, a hair salon and a bank was over taken by a lighting shop now. The coffeeshop at the corner is now a shop selling office chairs. Memories of me in tis area flooded my mind n i held back my tears...
Neighbours in the area calling me "chili-padi" cos I was small size n skinny. Always getting coins frm my mum to get drinks at the vending machine. Running into the salon to look for my mum who's washing her hair. Running down to the next block of shops to get chalk so I could play hopscotch outside my grandma's place. Drawing "samples" of clothes and standing at the front area (whr customers bring n collect clothes for my grandma to wash, my grandparents were in the laundry business), pretending to sell thm, sliding open n shutting the wardrobe (hanging grandma's customers clothes) letting my imaginary customers choose. Kitchen area whr I helped to wash the floor, see my grandma n mum cook and tried to help, opening n closing the fridge to get drinks, throwing away n refilling a dish of water so the condensed milk would not flood with ants, sit on the HUGE washing machine, HUGE ironing table (whr my uncle pratices pool) and a HUGE table whr clothes are laid out, placing empty metal hangers (rust free) on the rods in the backyard pretending to dry clothes, soaking myself in a water tank (those china-type told in the story of Sima Guang), soaking myself in another huge water tank in the bathroom (this one is made out of concrete) constructed in a corner, taking out the plug at the bottom of tis tank n letting the water gush out (hehe...) n running halfway up a stairway tt leads to the occupant upstairs which is blocked n locked. Last but not least, the corner coffeeshop where we would carry a huge metal mug to buy coffee.
So much memories, can't finish writing all of thm down...
